Visions is the second studio album of progressive metal band Haken. The album was released mostly for the attention of people at ProgPower USA on 17 September 2011, with an official release date set for 24 October 2011. Unlike Aquarius, which was written mainly on the piano by Richard Henshall, Visions was mostly written on the guitar.
Quetzal came on to the Latin scene with the introduction of tour album "Vision", released on N/A. The song immediatley became a success and made Quetzal one of the new great shows to go to. Subsequently following the appearance of "Vision", Quetzal announced "Imaginaries" on N/A. Its reasonable to say that "Imaginaries" was not amongst the more well known tour albums, although the track did get a resonable amount of circulation and is a big hit at every show. Quetzal has published 7 more tour albums since "Imaginaries"
This album narrates a musical trek where souls walk in prayer, queer tongues voice unmitigated rage, and bodies bear witness and act as agents of movement and transformation. It is fitting, then, that the notion of eternally getting down grounds the spiritual, radical, and feminist work of this latest collection.
Quetzal is a bilingual (Spanish-English) Chicano rock band from East Los Angeles, California. The band was founded by Quetzal Flores, with the intention of pushing the boundaries of Chicano music and is currently one of Los Angeles' most important and successful groups. They play a mix of Mexican and Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, rhythm and blues, and rock music, supercharged by the dynamic vocals of lead singer and composer Martha Gonzalez
In this, their sixth album release Quetzal turns to the matter of animals in urban space-including roosters, ants, owls, geese, squirrels, coyotes, pigeons, spiders, dogs, and butterflies-to imagine a world not merely from the animal’s perspective but that shatters the colonial distinctions between persons, things, and animals. 2013, GRAMMY® Award winner for Best Latin Rock, Alternative, or Urban Album 2013, Ruben Salazar Award, Inner City Struggle 10th Annual Community Awards.
