All I Really Want to Do" is a song written by Bob Dylan and featured on his Tom Wilson-produced 1964 album, Another Side of Bob Dylan (see 1964 in music). It is arguably one of the most popular songs that Dylan wrote in the period immediately after he abandoned topical songwriting. Within a year of its release on Another Side of Bob Dylan, it had also become one of Dylan's most familiar songs to pop and rock audiences, due to hit cover versions by Cher and the Byrds.

Basically, every day post-I Like It When You Sleep, I got Ed to pick up the tabloid newspapers on the way into the office so I could eventually, after a year, have every single tabloid headline and write a song about that. The sad thing is that, using the actual things that were written, it was just becoming too slapstick and funny. Can you remember any lines that were cut? There was one funny one about a horse: Horse Burger Butchered by the British, or something like that. And it was all about foreign nurses as well.

I’d like to re-release it with the original guitar sounds – superfans would probably be interested in how it should have sounded. We recently spoke to Deryck about the record and how it’s arguably their most personal – and heaviest – release yet. Lyrically, this is a weird record for me, he explained.
