Shure Audio Obstacle Course. Posted April 5th, 2007. Added the owners manuals for the Shure TTR-101 Trackability Test Record and the M7D Stereo Custom Dynetic Cartridge. Dj Cartridge Exploration.

The Trackability Test portion of the SHURE TTR 102 is a two-frequency signal, 400 and 4000 Hz. The recorded velocity of the 400 Hz is 4 times higher than the 4000 Hz recorded velocity. After about 25 tests on one side, the record should be checked by using a cartridge of known trackability. Both sides of the record are identical, so the cartridge should exhibit the same tracking capabilities, and the same pattern should be observed on the oscilloscope for corresponding bands on the new and used sides of the record.

My copy has 11364 on both sides but it didn't seem worth creating another variant.

I gotta ask - what terrible thing will happen if you Play This Record With A Monophonic Cartridge?
Frostdefender
If you're really curious I'm pretty sure the extreme stereo separation will damage the cartridge because mono cartridges aren't designed to move along stereo grooves, but I could be wrong.

Are you saying that this audio obstacle course is actually The Maze from Westworld? And therefore, we have Shure to blame for the eventual robot takeover of the human race?

sudont I gotta ask - what terrible thing will happen if you Play This Record With A Monophonic Cartridge? DO NOT DO THIS my cartridge gained sentience and was confused by the stereo signal so lashed out at me in fury
