The Adventure Babies.

The Adventure Babies were a Manchester-based Brit Pop Band founded by Matt Tedstone, Dave Atherton and Jez Bramwell in 1990. The band had three releases on Factory: The Camper Van EP (FAC 319, 1991) Laugh album (FACT 335, 1992) Barking Mad single (FACT 347, 1992). Possibly their greatest claim to fame was being the last band signed by Manchester legend Factory Records before it went bankrupt.

Darwin studied laughter in his infant son, and Freud formed a theory that our tendency to laugh originates in a sense of superiority. Studying when babies laugh might therefore be a great way of gaining insight into how they understand the world, he reasoned. But although he proposed this in the 1940s, this idea remains to be properly tested. Despite the fact that some very famous investigators have studied the topic, it has been neglected by modern psychology.

The Adventure Babies were a Stafford-based Britpop band, founded by Matt Tedstone, Dave Atherton and Jez Bramwell in 1990. The band had three releases on the Factory Records label: The Camper Van (EP) (FAC 319, 1991). Laugh (album) (FACT 335, 1992). Barking Mad" (single) (FACT 347, 1992). He stated, f Britpop started anywhere, it was the deluge of acclaim that greeted Suedes first records, all of them audacious, successful and very, very British. Suede were the first of the new crop of guitar-orientated bands to be embraced by the UK music media as Britains answer to Seattles grunge sound and their debut album Suede became the fastest-selling debut album in the history of the UK. 3. Factory Records – Like the label 4AD Records, Factory Records used a creative team which gave the label and the artists recording for it a particular sound and image.

The Adventure Babies were a Stafford-based Britpop band, founded by Matt Tedstone, Dave Atherton and Jez Bramwell in 1990. At the time of Factory's bankruptcy in 1992, test pressings had been made of a second single from the Laugh album. The band continued playing with new guitarist Vulch (Bryan Wilkin), formerly working with Martin Hannett and seeking a new recording contract for a year. To tie in with their final gig, a second album, Once Upon A Time The End, was issued in 2005, on CD only. In 2018 this was followed by a digital-only album release, Extracts of the Next.
